Around Dublin

Dublin City is the capital city of Ireland and is located on the east coast of Ireland. A city with Norman, Georgian and Medieval influence it is a delight to take to the streets of Dublin City on foot and enjoy the magnificant architecture along the famous streets of Dublin.

For lovers of the arts and culture there is an abundance of attractions including Dublin CastleMuseums and Trinity College Dublin.

For the shopaholics Dublin City has a lot to offer. Grafton Street is Ireland's most popular shopping street, populated with all the high end retail outlets and buskers this street is a must see.

O Connell Street is home to the main site of the 1916 Easter Rising, The GPO or General Post Office which is still in operation today saw much bloodshed and holds significant historical importance to this day.

Dublin City is also home to Ireland's main sports stadiums. The HQ of the GAA, Croke Park becomes awash with colour and fans as the All Ireland championships heat up during the Summer months. Croke Park however is worth a visit throughout the year as it is also home to the GAA museum. Aviva Stadium is home to Ireland's national Rugby and Soccer teams and is a new and spectacular venue.
